二、研究方向简介Research Areas
1. 语言与社会文化形态的创新研究
Innovative studies of  Language, Society and Culture
语言与社会文化形态的创新研究是跳出传统以语言本体为中心的研究框架,以创新的角度来研究语言与人和社会的关系。采用田野调查和实验的方法来观察和探索语言与文化形态冲突、语言与地理区域特征、语言与国家政治、语言与历史发展的关系。将语言学、社会学、人类学、历史、地理、经济、政治等学科交叉,关注社会需求和热点现象,思考人类社会发展的深层问题。
Innovative studies of Language, Society and Culture is a new research framework that jumps out of the traditional language ontology. It studies the relationship between language, human and society. Field works and experiments will be used to observe and explore the relationship between language and culture conflict, language and geographical features, language and politics, language and history. We adopt an interdisciplinary approach in examining, understanding, and meeting the challenges of current social issues.
 
2. 翻译和比较文学研究Translation and Comparative Literature Studies
翻译和比较文学研究以文学研究为中心,从比较的角度来探讨跨文化语境下的文学形式、文学批评理论、文艺思潮、文学翻译等主题。尝试用批判性的视角,而非简单的两分法来看待东西方文化的差异,及亚、非、欧、美等地区间的差异与融合.
Translation and Comparative Literature Studies is a branch which studies, from the perspective of comparison, the literature form, the literary criticism theory, the literary trends and the translation of literary. We  will try to use a critical perspective, rather than a simple dichotomy to look at the differences between Eastern and Western culture, and integration of Asia, Africa, Europe, the United States and other regions of the world.
 
3. 全球格局中的跨文化研究Intercultural Studies in Globalization
全球格局中的跨文化研究是在全球化的大格局中关注和研究全球化给人们的交流方式、工作方式、生活方式带来的改变和影响,以及人们应对全球化的方式。焦点在于不同的文化应对全球化影响的差别,当文化环境转变之后个体和群体反应上的差异,以及这些差异在语言、文学、哲学、经济等方面的表现。
Intercultural Studies in Globalization is a branch which studies how globalization changed the way people communicate, work, live and cope with globalization. It focus on the strategies of different culture groups to cope with the impact of globalization, the individual and communities reactions in cross-cultural context, and these differences presented in language, literature, philosophy and business activities.

招聘适合从事以上研究方向,具有语言学、比较文学、翻译学等相关学科博士学位,能够熟练运用英语讲课,并有海外学习经历的专业人才,根据应聘者不同履历与学术水平可聘任教授、副教授、助理教授等岗位。
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in either of the following areas: Linguistics, Comparative Literature, Translatology or a related field, and be fluent in English. Those with degree from overseas are preferred. Positions of professor, associate professor and assistant professor are  available.

二、研究方向简介Research Areas
1. 工业设计与用户生理心理检测研究
Industrial Design and User Experience (UX) research based on quantitative physiological and psychological data
本研究方向主要涉及工业和工程相关产品策划、开发与设计,研究内容为产品设计理论与方法、产品设计测试与评估。致力于研究和开发一系列工业创新设计与测评的量化方法和技术,融合人体生理和心理传感与检测、可穿戴计算、人机交互以及大数据信息挖掘等科技应用到工业产品设计测评中,以人因角度建立量化体系。
This research area concerns user-centered industrial design and its related theories and methods, particularly on design evaluation and user experience. It focuses on the research and development of technologies and quantitative methods that can help us better understand users and better inform innovative designers. Major research topics include (but not limited to): collection and interpretation of physiological and psychological user data (including use of wearable devices), human-computer interaction, and data mining/statistical modeling techniques.
 
2. 环境设计与工效研究
Environment design and ergonomics research
本研究方向主要涉及工业和工程环境以及数字化交互空间设计,研究内容为环境设计理论与方法、环境与工效分析。运用工效学的原理和方法,以人-机-环境系统作为研究对象,将人机工效学原理应用于工业和工程环境以及数字化交互空间设计中,以此提高工业和工程环境以及数字化交互空间的使用效益和综合效益。
This research area concerns the design of industrial and digital interactive environments, and focuses on theories and methods of environment design and ergonomics. It studies the application of ergonomic principles to understand the human-machine-environment system and to improve the design efficiency and effectiveness of industrial and digital environments.
 
3. 视听觉传达设计与实践研究
Communication design and applications
本研究方向主要涉及工业产品和环境空间平面、三维、动态视觉设计,研究内容为视听觉传达设计理论和艺术表现方法。积极调动图像、文字、符号、色彩等视觉元素和各种听觉元素,采用前沿的设计理念和设计方法,将信息形象化、时空层次化、信息秩序化等要素体现在工业产品和环境空间的设计中,致力于提高视听觉信息传达的感染力、丰富性和交互性,契合数字化时代多元化的设计需求。
This research area concerns the graphic, 3D and dynamic visual design in industrial products and environments, and focuses on theories and methods of communication design and arts. It studies the utilization of various visual and audio elements such as images, texts, symbols, and colors, and application of state-of-the-arts communication design concepts and methods. It aims to address the diverse communication needs in the digital era and improve the effectiveness, richness and interactive feature of communication, through integration of visualized and ordered information and hierarchical space-time in industrial and environment design.

1. 国际经济与社会发展研究
Research on international economics and social development
主要涉及21世纪海上丝绸之路沿线国家的国际关系、经济一体化的政策建议和效益分析,以及国际博弈、国别研究、特定项目的背景研究等。中国作为新兴经济体中最重要的一员,世界第二大经济体,改革开放近40年来,经济发展创造了奇迹,中国经验值得其他发展中国家借鉴。在理论和实践上需要创新性地建立基于中国利益,体现中国战略的研究体系,指导国际合作的实践,促进国际经济与社会发展的协同发展。
Research on international economics and social development is mainly involved in international economics, relations, regional economic integration featured by the twenty-first Century Maritime Silk Road study.
 
2. 国际经济与贸易规则研究Research on International governance
标准之争本质是背后的国家间的竞争,规则制定者也必是规则受益者。中国在海上丝绸之路经济合作中处于主导地位,如何让中国在海上丝绸之路建设中取得预期的、长远的效益,实现海上丝绸之路国家的共赢,显然需要对现有国际经贸制度安排进行适当的调整。深入研究国际规则制定对海上丝绸之路研究具有重要的意义,也可以成为研究特色之一。
Asia is undergoing a new round of modification of rules as WTO and IMF are challenged with rather difficult issues. The US initiated TPP coupled with China’s “One belt, One Road” Initiatives have brought in numerous opportunities as well as new challenges in East and Southeast Asia infrastructures and investment banking systems. International trade and investment In Asia will focus on examining and understanding the international trade new system and governance in the region.
 
3. 国际企业组织形态研究 Multinational Enterprises Study
以研究在21世纪海上丝绸之路经济带上企业组织形式为研究对象,主要涉及家族企业、东南亚跨文化经营和管理、企业伦理价值等方面,从产业和企业层面增强海上丝绸之路研究。
Enterprise Organizations is a research concerning the characteristics of SME’s and family enterprises in East and Southeast Asia regions. Its main focus is in cross cultural business management studies, business ethics, and business sustainability
